Maria’s Pizza MKE

Maria and her family opened the pizzeria in 1957 serving family size pizzas on 7th and Greenfield in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Freshly prepared ingredients, proprietary meats, and her secret homemade dough prepared almost daily. In 1971 they opened a second location, and when the matriarch passed in 1993 they reconsolidated to their current location, 5025 W Forest Home Ave in Milwaukee. After decades in, the family closed their business for personal needs in 2022 and held strong on to not selling their recipes to just anyone. They were determined to wait until they found the right fit to carry the torch of Maria’s legacy. Reopened in 2024, we have been taught by her own granddaughter—who started making dough at age 8—how to do it all, from using their same vendors and ingredients to exact methods they practiced for over half a century. We plan to honor the tradition and legacy of Maria’s Pizza in Milwaukee by making the tastiest thin crust and wearing the name proudly.
